Finding the Perfect Teacher Planner during Back to School season is just as stressful as figuring out my lesson plans for the first week of school. The perfect planner needs to have all the essentials, but also needs to showcase the teacher’s personality and values. This is the difference between a generic Teacher Planner and the Perfect Teacher Planner.
In years past, I searched for the Perfect Teacher Planner all over. At the teacher store, on TeachersPayTeachers, at Michaels. I even dared to admire those coveted, yet way out of my budget, Erin Coldren planners.
At the end, I ended up making a simple agenda. One that fit the needs of being a mom, a teacher, a wife, and all of my other hats. Then, my work BFF encouraged me to add some color and re-work my agenda.
I printed all the pages and set them up using Staples’ Arc Notebook System (not affiliated). I needed slightly bigger rings so I ordered a set of rings from Amazon (not affiliated). Three days later i put it all together and walah I had the Perfect Teacher Planner in my hands.
By the end of the school year, I was the most organized and planned I had ever been. It was easy to meet deadlines, keep up with meetings, analyze data and keep track of my groups. I felt on top of my game.
So now, I am excited to go back to school. Today, I printed all my pages for PD notes, Team Meetings, my rosters, and contact logs. I also updated my personal and family information; and started working through my To-Do list.
In the midst of the crazy end-of summer activities, I am taking time to plan. Plan upcoming meetings, school activities and family events. This brings a sense of calmness.
Thus, I am once again organized, and ready to rock another year.
